Elizabeth and Ellen cofounded WordSisters in 2012. Cynthia joined in 2017 and Bev in 2020. Over the years, we’ve also welcomed guest contributors: Brenda, Jill, Jean, and Rosemary.
We are sisters in writing.
Each of us came to writing via different paths, but we all share a lifelong love of words and ideas. Some of us write the stories of our lives. Others, complete fiction. One, a self-help guide. We picture scenes in our minds. Hear the words in our heads. Capture them in journals. Type, revise, polish them. Send them out into the world where they have become books (Cynthia, Elizabeth, and Bev) or land in anthologies and literary journals (Ellen, Brenda, Jill, and Jean). All satisfying in their way.
But . . .
The beauty of a blog is the ability to interact with our readers. We love the conversations and connections with you.
Welcome to WordSisters!
We hope you’ll enjoy what we have to say—please share your comments.
Hi! Found you through the Brevity Blog today and so glad I did!
Hi Ellen,
Loved reading your blog on Brevity. I share some of the same experiences. I have a memoir that I’ve been revising for awhile but have really been enjoying writing a weekly blog, Apples, Art, and Spirit. What is your memoir about?
Cheers, Linda
Thanks for visiting WordSisters. Glad you liked the Brevity blog. My memoir is about coming of age in the workplace in the 1970s.
Your blog is delightful–such wisdom and interesting experiences!
Anne Lamott really is right. What an attractive blog. I’ll have to put WordSisters on my rounds.
Thanks for checking out WordSisters! I hope you’ll enjoy our perspectives.
Hello Sisters, WWWW started the same way. Two of the original four are still having fun here, soon to celebrate our five year blogaversary…come have cake!
